Do they move? or has something knocked it? It has only moved about 2 inches, but seems to be sticking to the rock still.

    please help

They do move...or just bounce around the tank until they fix upon something...I have many ,red, purple and green...The green dont seem to travel and spread as much as the pink...they spread like crazy...have had to scalpel harvest those buggers....Dont have them too close to light...I've noticed mine seem to do better in the low waters of the tank...but not in the shade..and the possibility that something knocked it is very real also...secure it.

crazy. so i should just leave it then? I mean it is fully intact. it is of the bluish-green persuasion by the way.

Just leave it be, it worked hard to get where it was more comfortable.

Leave be it moved for a reason, mushrooms are very hardy so theres no real need to worry about it

They can move around similiar to an anemone and sometimes they will detach themselves and float around in the current which is what mine did the other day, I just kept watching it to see where is was gonna end up. I went to another room for a few mins and came back and couldn't find it anywhere so I figured it was amonst the rockwork somewhere, well later that day I looked for it again and happen to notice it stuck in one of the powerhead grills :-/.I turned the powerhead off,dug it out (which looked pretty rough) and placed it back on the bottom of the tank. It has since took up residence on an empty hermit crab shell and doing great to my surprise so these things must be pretty hardy given the right conditions.

They are very hardy, when i wanna frag one i rip it off and throw it threw my return pump, a million pieces come back into the tank andi usually end up wiht about 50 new shrooms in a matter of months
