Need help with algae

    Hi!
    New to this sw fish hobby. I purchased some live rocks from someone on Craigslist and they now look different than how they looked 4 weeks ago. I have attached a couple of pics and would appreciate your expert advice on what all that stuff is, especially the white one, which seems to be growing.

    Also, how often is one supposed to wipe the tank walls from inside?

    LR will continue to change all the time. there is always different algaes competing for space and food. The white appear to be coraline algae die off. It will come back, don't worry

    With a MagFloat. Floating Aquarium Cleaners - Gulfstream Tropical Aquarium You can get them from any saltwater fish store or online. They work great.
