Removed hood, huge hassel to take that thing apart. But it is super clean now. All connections tested and cleaned, carefully. Cleaned fans, ewwww dust.

    Re-seated the mh bulb.

Put it all back together, and no go, so it was not the wiring in the hood.

    It is the ballaist switch.

Took ballist apart, carefully, and tried to clean switch connections. Put it all back together.

Fired back up successfully on the first try and is holding.

Thank you everyone for your suggestions and assistance.

Fingers crossed that tomorrow it will just fire back up.;D

Started with out issue this am, I am one happy camper.

Word of caution, if your ballast is still under warranty do not disassemble it. If you do open it up, make sure it is unplugged and the capacitor can deliver a very strong shock even it the unit is not plugged in.

Glad it worked out for you and you didn't need to get a new ballast! More $ for livestock!! ;)
