Go to your start menu and in run or windows search type device manager. Click on this, do you see anything with a question mark or exclamation mark on it? Make sure you have the latest sound drivers installed and if so install older ones.

Check those sound card drivers and if you have the latest roll back to an older pair. Like I said sometimes a sound card can lock up the whole program and make you think its the video card. Also If you can find and install a program that keeps up with temps, run it and let me know what they are (cpu/vid temps).

Lets take a quick stab. Let's try something really simple. You said your computer was shipped, right? It could as simple at reseeding the video card. Things move in shipping. It may look like it's in, but just barely. I would do this to all the cards & memory modules. Now try it again.

Also, while it's open remove all dust bunnies. Beside it will kill your fans in time, dust will also blanket your boards & short them out when humidity is present & also prevent needed airflow. I have been working on computers for over 25 years, so I do have a little bit of know how.. lol.. Another thing to check is that if all your fans are running. All you need is your, power supply or CPU fan to fail & your computer will crash. Again, I can explain further. :)

Still crashing?? I'm at work right now & can't go into great detail. Send me a PM if you want with your number & I can call you when I get later on today and we can go over a few things.

It could be your video card again. You video card does have memory on it aka VRAM (video random access memory). Just like your computer's RAM memory it can go bad. Especially with games, it will tend to use all of the available memory on it & all it's channels.

Think of if like a road. You use the same road for years. Then you decide to use a side street one day, just to find out it's a dead end. Same thing with the bits of information that travel through your memory modules. Everything looks & runs fine, until you hammer up the video card & crash... This is also true with everything else in your computer.

    Hope this helps..

lol... Isn't work fun.. Possible, but did the game ever work with that video card? If so, it's either a hardware or software issue & that has to be determined.

Here are some examples of questions & answers:
It could be a compatibility issue that may or may not be repairable, buy a different make & model video card. Software update on the game itself. Update the video drivers from the mfg website & not from Windows Update. Have you installed anything else software or hardware including SW updates since the game worked last. Check to see if you are running the latest motherboard chipset drivers. Chipset drivers are VERY important since they control every aspect of your computer. It could also be your sound driver, check the mfg website to see if it's current. Did you update to Vista or Windows 7, again check the game mfg website to see if there is a compatibility issue with those versions & if there is even an update for. Possible virus or spyware, perhaps even the antivirus program itself. Ultimately you may need to just do a backup of your important data & wipe the computer & do a reload, but would do that as a LAST result.

As you can see the list can go on & on... I fixed this issue a long time ago myself. I own a Xbox 360 Elite, if it won't play on it, I don't need it. ;D

    Good Luck my friend...
