I just got a hold of a 110 gallon tank that has a single corner overflow.
The tank is pre-drilled with bulkheads et al.

My question is regarding the overflow "wall".
It is made of plastic and has a center piece (cover like) that can come out.
Can someone please explain to me the point of it?
When i remove the center piece it reveals the overflow wall that is continuous.

Attached you will find pictures with what i mean.
Sorry ahead of time for the confusion, its just hard to explain.

BTW the tank is built by TM

It can be removed to clean it.It has the slits at the bottom so it will pull water from the middle or bottom of the tank instead of just the top when the water flows through it.

Thanks guys, but a follow up question.
The water flowing in from the bottom has no where to go.
So is it for extra circulation, meaning the water flowing in from the top goes out the bottom and also goes down the overflow pipe?
