Need help with detritus on rock

Hmm...not really sure. The WC's won't cause much stress as long as levels and temp of the new water are equal to the tank.

What if you didn't perform any WC's would the stuff pile up? It can't be just coming out of nowhere. In terms of Dosing I was inquiring on carbon Dosing meaning vodka,bio pellets,etc. That may cause bacterial blooms. And additives that would affect bacterial balance like MB7. Obviously you aren't doing any of that. Strange phenomena your experiencing.

 

Yes, without WCs it seems to build up very slowly.

 

I think the culprit may be in the bottom of this photo! lol

How old is your tank?

Do you have any sort of mechanical filtration?

 

Have you observed how high your diamond raises when dropping sand?

 

I just got the diamond 5 days ago. It's not him, but he def kicks up some sand.

Tank is 4 month old.

I have a hangon filter with mechanical, carbon and bio. Also skimmer return box has mechanical and carbon.
