Looking for filters for the below unit. I know next to nothing about the unit as we picked it up used. I want to replace everything in it including the membrane, just to be safe. Can you guys please recommend the filters I need and at what micron level I should get? I would like to buy from AWI to support a site sponsor. Thanks in advance.

I would call AWI and give them the model number I am sure they will know what filters and everythig you will need. I would say thats your best bet.

Are filters pretty standard, just buy whats cheap? I thought you had to worry about the micron size and stuff, and I wrong?

no don't buy cheap buy quality as the cheaper you get with a key part of your tank the more headaches you will have. and will cost you more in the long run, as in not lasting as long. call AWI they are the true experts in the filter business

Just look at the brand, not the dealer. For instance Dow is the manufacturer of the membrane, not AWI or H2O Science. Same goes with the sediment and carbon. 1 micron is nominal. I asked about going to the 0.5 micron, and my retailer told me the ro membrane manufacturer did not recommend anything lower than 1

Also if you buy a new membrane, make sure it comes with the correct flow restrictor. (a small valve located in the waste water line)
