    the pipe going from my bulkhead down into the sump is a straight piece of hard pvc, no bends or anythin, straight drop into the sump. the pipe finishes about 4 inches below the water level(which i think is too deep) and than ive got soft pipe goin from my pump through a ball valve back up into my DT.
    at the moment the only thing im planning on doing is cutting down the hard pvc pipe leading into my sump about about 2.5 inches or so
