Need help with ID of two fish

    My buddy gave me these fish and i don't know what they are called.
    I put them in my temporary tank, want to know what they are before i dump them in my display tank

    Spotted Puffer and the second is a filefish.

    Well the first looks like a spotted puffer, which I think is supposed to be in brackish water and not full salt, although my ID is likely wrong.

    The second looks like some kind of tang maybe? Either way it looks starving and to be honest it looks like your tank is way too small for it.

    I can't really tell about the tank size or the species so I might just be blowing my blow hole here.

    How can you tell its hungry?
    Any idea of what kind of tang it is?
    Aggressive?

    The second one is a filefish. It doesn't look fat but more like skin and bones.

    Definitely a file fish and a sick one at that.

    See how the area where it's stomach should be looks like something or someone is pinching it together? That area would be well rounded out in a normal, healthy fish.
