Need help with ID

    I ordered a clean up crew from reefcleaners, and some of the snails had these things on them. Now they are on my rocks and I cannot find any information on what they are. I circled them in red on the photo. Hopefully they are not anything that will cause problems in my tank.

    They are nerite snail eggs.

    Yeah +1.... nerite snail eggs. They look like sesame seeds and they will keep happening all the time. They are free coral food! Imagine.... something in this hobby that is highly useful as far as coral (and other creature's nutrition) and u don't have to pay for!

    Thanks for the quick replies!! Its good to know that they are just eggs and not some sort of pest.

    Speaking of nerites, why do they like to crawl out of the tank so much. a few days ago I found 4 of them on the floor next to the tank dried up!

    They are tidal snails and not really suited to reef tanks IMO. Thet need to feel the tide change so instead they crawl out of our tanks.
