don't want to sound like a cheapo but want to upgrade from vho to mh. I don't want the cheapest and not the most expensive, I just want the most bang for my buck on a system. It can either be a fixture or a retrofit. I know you get what you pay for but there's got to be a decent system without breaking the bank. What i am looking for is probably two 175 watters that i can supplement with the vhos for a 75 gallon tank. any help please shoot it my way. Thanks.

I think Lighting is a whole other hobby.. : ) lol
But, In my world, I would say it depends on what kind of critters you want/have...and for certain your depth, volume etc.
Good Luck.,,,Lots'o option on the "middle of the road" lighting stuff.... I went "budget" at first, but have since upgraded...so, Like the old saying goes.." I wish I knew then, what I know now" $$$ : )

standard 75 demensions 21 inches high 4 foot wide and 18 inches deep. mainly right now have mushrooms and some frogspawn, but have a long tentacle anemone that is light hungry. i think i would rather spend a little extra up front but who would have thought those 99 dollar halide fixtures were crap.
