Need help with old style ebo jager heater

    What are the increments on the old style ebo jager heaters? 1 thru 9 and and # 5 is circled. I can't remember. My heaters taking a !%^&# right now. Temp is @ 72 normally 80. Got it covered and everything looks ok. I can post a pic of my heater if it will help.

    Good lawd ! thats an oldy, havint seen any thing like that in some time.
    sadly i have no idea ( im assuming you just kept it for a spare any way )
    I would think (5) is circled for optium temp setting like 78/79 degrees ?

    My temps. almost back up to 80. About 78 right now.

    Set it on 3 or 4 I'm not sure I'd trust it myself the little contact points on them act just like a old car ignition breaker point they pit over time from the arching and will stick closed and then its a problem.. To make a fast calibration just set it in a small pail of cool water and see where it cuts off at then set it in the tank you want to heat.
