Need help with Refugium

    Here are some pictures of the sump I am switching to with my 140g and a picture of my current sump on my 92g I want to still use my skimmer in the second picture... any ideas... I am new at all this refugium building

    You can always cruise around melvesreefs for ideas. He has some fantastic designs.

    Yah i just got off his website. I am kinda looking at putting the return in the middle and down drains on left with skimmer and fuge on the right hand side just not sure where I can place a bubble trap or if i even need one

    i was kinda thinking the one with the fuge in the middle would be easy to to. u could just put the skimmer in with the intake side.... then all the water would be headed the same way

    That would work, the problem is the volume of water flow thru the fuge is far larger and faster than conventional wisdom calls for - doesn't mean it's wrong, just not currently fashionable - gotta love this hobby of ours ;D
