How old is the setup? If its a completely new setup thats not cycled yet, then ammonia wont be 0 anymore...

Perculas are technically one of the more hardy of the clownfish, moreover, their related to the Damselfish, hence their hardiness and ease of keeping for the most part!
Unless your other water parameter issues are out of whack, or your acclimation of your Perculas wasn't performed well enough, or maybe the fish were injured or diseased before you got them!!!
They shouldn't be swimming on their side or lying on the bottom very often!

nitrate shouldnt have gone down - it should go up as part of the cycle

my lr does diddly squat with nitrates - apprently there is an additive out there that boosts the nitrate eating bacteria in lr and genuinely brings down nitrates.
    Anyone know what it is??
My lfs stocked it once and it sold out really quick - he cant get his hands on anymore, and failed to tell me what its called. From italy apparently

I went through a streak of injured perculas that acted the same way. None survived. The LFS confirmed that they were from a new source that delivered several injured fish. Arggggg. Where did you get them? LFS?

Quick question. What is your method of acclimation?
When I first started in salt water I was only floating the fish to acclimate them to the temp. I had freshwater experience prior to the salt water. I was never told to or shown how to acclimate salt water fish and corals. I only learned by accident.
