    just picked up a jbj pc fixture w/ 4 65watt bulbs. would this work over a 55g?

    It depends what your using your tank for? Fish Only would be fine. A reef - well you could go with low light demanding corals. Nothing spectacular tho...

    Theres a lot of corals you could do under that light. Theres a ton of soft corals that will do great under pc lighting. Stay away from sps and most lps though.
