I fill up the water at Walmart from Culligan co.
    It says that its RO.

Where do you suggest I get RO from. I don't need a system for a 10 gallon

It doesn't specifically say for drinking. It's just a water fill up station. It's RO filtered and run through carbon and a UV sterilizer as well. It doesn't have any extra additives either.

I would suggest that you get a phosphate test kit or see if your LFS can test it for you to see how that level is.

I personally haven't had any problems with the same RO water that you are using. Just make sure that the station gets regular maintenance. You can also check with your LFS, they sometimes have it for sale too.

You don't necessarily have to get a new powerhead, just move the one you have now so that you have more flow down low. Two of those in a 10 gal will take up some space IMO. But yeah, check your phosphates, cut back on the lights some, and some phosban or similar product and you should be golden. It will not happen over night mind you, it will take some time to get rid of all of it. Best of luck.

For a system that small,an API tap water filter might work well for you.It connects to your kitchen sink and produces deionized water which is good, better than r/o.The only drawback from these is the cost of replacement filters, but that shouldnt be much of a problem with a 10gal. system. It would be better than lugging water home from Walmart IMO.

One question I don't think has been asked yet is what is your feeding cycle and how much. You can be introducing extra nutriments that way.
