Need Helping Picking Out a Protein Skimmer

Ok everyone its time for me to pick out a protein skimmer. My pride and joy is 55 gal and I'm going to work on a new sump with a added fuge. Any suggestions?? Kinda on a budget too but all suggestions are welcomed!!

 

Eshopps cone skimmers, they are cheap and work well.

Bubble Magus, Vertex, and Eshops are good budget skimmers. For a 55 you can also look into a Super Reef Octopus or SWC 120 would be pretty sweet.

 

I have a Boyu DG 2524 retail $99 Canadian so probably cheaper in the US. It's rated for up to 120g they can be in the sump or hang on and come with a 1850 l/h pump. It's been running now 3 mos no problems and excellent dark skimmate DG-2524 - Proteln skimmer - Products - GUANGDONG BOYU GROUP CO.,LTD.

the only one ive owned is my coralife 220g and its ridiculous my tank is very clear its quiet and can be insump or hob

 

I like my swc 160 cone. The bubble magus nac6 is a good budget skimmer.

What is your budget?

 

I love my Tunze 9002. You could probably do a 9005. Or a 9002 if you want. Little expensive, but good performance.

 

I don't need it asap as my tank is still cycling but I'll probably have $200 to play with within the next two weeks. Anything that and below will be good
