Shout out for Warner Marine HOB. Awesome HOBs. H1 will do 50g and a H2 will go to 90g.

Aqua C seems to be the one that gets the most good reviews for HOB's. I trust the words I see on here more than most other things, so I think you would be very happy if you went that route.

That said I just set up one of the skimmers from this line a couple days ago for a show skimmer set-up and it works awesome!

I'll have more details about how it runs after playing with it all day at the show on Saturday.

I was in the same boat as you looking for a nice HoB skimmer, i think this is the one thing i researched the most, my tanks a 50g sumpless which is close to your 46 and i decided to go with the Warner Marine H2 v2. Im sure you could get by with the H1 since iv read they dont over rate their skimmers and will be a little cheaper, but i plan on having a pretty fat bio load so i went for the H2. Its on a UPS truck somewhere right now and should be at my house by monday, if your still deciding ill come back and post my opinion on the thing.

I was also looking at was the AquaC remora first, almost ordered it but after more research i read that its either a love it or hate it skimmer, and that it is pretty outdated for its price, and plus i didnt want the pump in my tank. But this is all just from what iv read so dont hold me to it :)
