    Welcome to 3-Reef, Antonio.
That's a huge tank. The first question is "What do you want to do with that tank?"
-- Fresh water or salt water?
-- If salt, Fish, snails, crabs, and shrimp?
    -- anemones?
    -- coral?
Once you decide what kind of tank you want, then read, read, read!

the normal is a MH per 24 inches so that would work if you are looking to do sps's the more light the better i would use 400w's after 24 you want to use 400W but if you want 250w that would work just keep sps's high or anything else that need alot of light up high

    I would do 2 x 400w MH w/ Lumen reflector or LAIII reflector + 2 or 4 x 80w T5-HO. The reflector will cover a 4' x 4' area and that should do good in a 6' tank.

Hmmm, lets see. Well...since it is a long and huge tank, you might even want to go with 4x400w mh...lol that might sound alot but...for a 400gal tank that plus some actinics would be pretty sweet. Dont forget about a chiller though.
