Well I have a couple of questions about rocks
I have bow front tank that I want to put tones of more rock in to
wall to wall top to bottom
So is it better to just buy base rock or make your own?
And if you think it is better to make your own what is the best way to do it
Im not that big of a fan of all the CC in the rocks so if I just add some aragonite sand well it do the same thing
and what would be the cost?

The base rock will eventually become live, especially if you have other live already in there. You can shave some of the coraline off onto one of the base rocks to seed it.

I have the CC too.. I hate it. I believe it is ultimately what killed my goby today. He never filtered it so he didnt get to eat much. I dont believe you would want to mix the sand and the CC. The weight of them are different and would end up seperating, but I will let someone with more experience post on this.
