Thank you all. I'm buying 2 200W Eheim Jager for redundancy. I've heard and read many good things about them. Still have not placed my order, but will do it in the next couple of days.

Now... pumps that run well and silent on wave makers... and that do not cost an eye!

Jebao Wp40. If you want silent, Sicce. If you want them to run backwards, Evo. :p

Funny u mentioned that! I almost made the mistake of buying a k. EVO for the wave maker. I think I can wait for the wp-25.... I'm sure the 40 is way too much for my 55... I will use 2 wp-25 on opposite sides... Hopefully hooked up to a reef angel a few months after getting them wet. Anyone can comment on the noise for the jebaos?

Im now using a cheapy Deep Blue. 200 watt in my 30 gal. Works fine. I do have a glass thermometer in the DT and a digital thermometer with high and low alarms at the moment.

I have had the Aqueons for 3 years without any problems. I currently have a 250w in my 150g system. Tank is 9 degrees above ambient and the heater keeps up pretty good. As with ANY heater that has a built in thermometer, use a good quality digital thermometer to track and adjust temps.
