I saw this fixture on marinedepot.com for $430.
Was wondering if you guys have an opinion on it.

I am setting up a 110 gallon FOWLR tank. Leaning towards predator type tank. eels and sharks and such.

Please let me know if this one fixture is going to be enough for it.

110isnt very big for a predator tank, all these fish get very big and need swimming space, as for the light, will do the job.
Look again at the tank, maybe keep the 110 for a sump and invest in a 300+ gallon for your eels and sharks.

They are nice lights for a FOWLR. I played around with small versions of it and liked the look. But that is a lot of dough if you are not growing coral.

Even cat sharks will need 300+ gallons. You can get small moray and a volitan, but no sharks or rays. If you want a FOWLR why even get the reef grade? Get their normal LEDs and save 100 or so.

I had these lights! The first time the plug from the AC power cord into the unit melted inside lol. They did send me a new one after 5-6 weeks. It did ok with some softies but the lighting is like small spotlights and difficult to get full coverage. I have the replacement on a planted tank now looks nice :) it still gets verrrry hot though. I think it will eventually do the same but who knows.

I would have to agree with Matt. I think there are a lot of other (cheaper) options out there for a fowler tank.
