let me start by saying that my RO/DI will be arriving tomorrow and i will be the one to connect it.
this is how i plan to connect it since it will be connected to both my refugium for top off with auto shut off kit and will also be connected to my water dispenser for drinking water.
this is how i plan to connect it and i need suggestion or comments if i am doing it right or wrong.
    1. i will be connecting the RO to the cold water supply under the sink with the red hose.
    2. install a check valve on the product line (blue) then install a bypass valve on the main unit (blue and red line) after the check valve for the auto shut off.
    3. now i only have the product line (blue) and is supposedly to be connected to the DI canister. but i will not connect it yet for i have to connect it first to my drinking water dispenser.
now using a tee union to be connected to the blue line splitting my output to 2. one will be going to the auto shut off kit to the refugium and the other to the drinking dispenser.
    4. now both output will have inline check valve and both also will have inline ball valve to use as on/off switch to direct the flow of water. one blue line will be connected to the dispenser and the other blue line will be connected to the DI canister.
    5. output for the D/I canister will be connected to this [IMG]
i wanted to use this one [IMG] but is no longer being made.

this way i can control the flow of water by turning the ball valve on/off on the drinking water line or the DI water line.
    any input? thanks.

Do you have a drinking water kit, by that I mean a pressure tank and drinking water faucet?
If not it will not work well for drinking water unless you plan to manually fill a pitcher or jug over a matter of time then switch it back to the ATO or shut it off.
