The tank is a FOWLR and the stocking list is in my signiture. The hawkfish is probably about to go to a different tank soon as will the gramma most likely. I'm looking for a fish that will be an active swimmer and complete the tank. Something unique and larger is what I want 8-12inches max though. Any experience with any of the fish I'm interested in would be greatly appreciated as well. Most of my fish hang out in their own little areas and for the most part apart from some grazing the whole front half of the tank is free and clear with nothing to look at but LR.

I got to thinking that since it's a fish only tank I should take the chance to add something that I wouldnt be able to if it were a reef tank. I have been looking into butterflies lately and have thought about the Raccoon Butterfly or Longfin Bannerfish from that crowd.

I also looked into tangs and am still considering the Yellow or Powder Brown but I am looking into something that you don't see in reef tanks at this point.

I have pretty much ruled out the Larger Angels. I'd love to have one and there are a few that LiveAquaria says will do fine in my tank but I am just hesitant. I really don't want to add anything thats going to outgrow my tank. I'd appreciate anyone who could recommend a smaller one who would do ok in a 100g without problems

The two last I have thought about and love are Harlequin Tuskfish and Niger Trigger. I will admit I know very little about the tuskfish and it is fairly expensive but I love its coloration. As for the trigger, I'd be worried about it eventually eating my smaller fish. The Gramma and Clown are both about 3 inches so they're a decent size, I just don't know if that would save them.

    Advice? Opinions? Suggestions?

Thanks for the help, my last sensing session lined me up with a very enjoyable addition so I'm hoping this one can do the same.

Wont that eventually outgrow my little slice of paradise? I thought they got like 15 inches.

Wow, it's gorgeous. I'm looking for something that's in the easy to moderate difficulty range though. When I'm a lot more seasoned then I will definately try some of these harder to keep fish :)

Tell that to my purple tang who is pushing 7" and he started out at 3...

Sailfins probably would get to be around 11-12inches in a home aquarium. Probably wouldnt see it get to be much bigger unless you had a large large tank. Ive seen a few in the 9-11 range easily.

I apoligize for the misinformation. 15" max however I was presumming this on a friend of mine's tank whos Sailfin has yet to grow half this. Sorry for the mistake.
