And would something like this be possible with your fixtures..?

Basically two heatsinks are connected with two long aluminum plates i got from HD. Very cheap.

I just laid mine on the aluminum angle. That way i can slide them where i want. Too easy.

heres a couple pics of my light hanging contraption... tried to buy ones but they were like $100 or more so i made mine for around $10-20... oh i used the pipe benders at home depot to bend the conduit didnt want to buy one to use once... well actually twice as i used the same setup for my nano...i like it alot very clean looking!! It is currently covering up my fish mount but i cant get a drill to the back without pulling the tank off the wall a couple inches and cant do that full so i will re-adjust when i move the tank in a couple months... and i have all stainless hardware ( shackles, nuts, bolts, screws).

Someone requested close ups, so I'll post them here for everyone. I used 1-1/4" x 1/8" aluminum angle stock, with 2" x 1/8" aluminum flat stock on the ends. It's very sturdy, no way that the lights could fall off of through. I cut angled notches on the ends to hold the wires. Very, very easy to make.
