Need pics to see the difference between running 10k and 12k bulbs.

You will be disapointed as these do not have individual reflectors it has one reflector for all bulbs....

With lights and skimmers you get what you pay for...pay cheap get cheap...

I believe these are catalina lights....look for lights at www.buildyouraquarium.com
I think they are the same but this site is cheaper

 

thanks..i saw that, they are like 40 bucks cheaper however i pmed the guy and the ebay ones has the splash protector installed. the ones on buildyouraquairum are another 70 bucks to add one.

is one really needed?

 

I do not have one but I do have a peice of acrylic at each end to prevent salt creep from getting on the connectors....There is no splash in my tank....that is where I got my lights....

Spalsh guards also deminish the par value from your bulbss

So far they are good....I have only had them maybe a week now. I have the 6 bulb system on a 55 gallon....
