Hello everone, I'm currently in the market for a new Magnesium additive for my 120 gallon Reef Aquarium. I unfortunately don't have very much experience with various chemicals since I have stuck with Kent Tech-M and would like to move away from the brand for no better reason then to find something better. I'm concerned with quality, potency of the dosage and price. What would you recommend? Thank you in advance for your assistance.

I have used Reef Advantage Magnesium. That works nicely. Anymore, though, I use Epsom Salt. Works just as well. And there is a calculator here on 3reef to dose it.

Epsom salt all the way. Here locally it is less then a buck a pound and works great.

    Yes.
If you're the type that does water changes it's ok to use epsom salt. If you don't sulfates will build up over time.
Epsom salt is magnesium sulfate and it's about 25% actual magnesium.
I'm using magnesium chloride from bulkreefsupply.com it's about 1/3 magnesium by weight. I'm still looking for something better that won't mess with my salinity.
