    found this snail with sort of a half shell type thing...saw him the other night but he disappeared while trying to grab him...got him now though, so let me should he go back in the tank or not

    i have that same thing. when i first got my liverock, that is all i saw on my glass. there would be like 5 at a time but then they went away for 5 months and now just today i saw one on the glass for the very first time in a while. im pretty sure its fine dude.

    Good hitchiker.
    They breed like crazy.
    Eat a substantial amount of film algae.

    +1 on the stomatella, when i fist saw them in my tank I thought they were some evil pest, but they are really good at cleaning the glass and rocks.
