So I bought 2 taotronics 120w LED lights for my 46 gallon. Mostly zoas, pagoda cup, Oulophyllia, some asst favias, blastos, richordias, mushrooms and some star polyps.W/ a glass top. I started off with one light for three weeks 6" above tank. Then I added the other and raised both to 8" above tank. My problem is that I've had a large die off of my zoas. After adding the second light. They are located the highest are 8" off the bottom of the tank. Any help would be appreciated

Either lower the coral, raise the light, or reduce the photoperiod. More than likely they arent used to the increase in lighting and are suffering from it.

thats a good photoperiod but if your corals are suffing you may need to lower it for now and keep increasing it over a couple of weeks till you get to the full 8 hours.

Yeah, if they keep declining then cut back the lights even more.

IMHO that's overkill for your tank. Are they dimmable? I would go back to 1 light.

I did move lights to a height of 12" above tank. Still not much change. Maybe i do have to much wattage. I went by recomendation of each light is equivalent to 250MH. so thats just over 10watts per gallon. I would like to grow some sps coral. Ive tried sps with old lighting no luck. I was at 5watts per gallon.
