Ok, well it seems like you are itching to get this fish ASAP (it IS a very cool looking fish). Is this because you are worried someone else will buy it? If so, I wonder if you could pay the store and have them hold it for you for 1-2 weeks until your 10g has had a chance to stabilize a little. If you are willing to do this, transfer a little live rock from your 29g into the 10g, then add some more base rock and wait 1-2 weeks for the bacteria to spread, then add the leaf fish.

If you aren't willing to wait 1-2 weeks and need the fish right now, you have no real choice but to fully add about 10-15 lb live rock from your 29g to your 10g tank, add the base rock to your 29g, and hope there is no cycle. Remember that if you change the water too frequently at the beginning you will keep your fish happy, but you will delay the cycle from taking place. That's why I would wait the few weeks if I could.

Regardless, let us know how it works out and post pics of the fish once you have him.

i wont be getting him any time soon. i need some stuff for my 29 and some stuff for the 10. i will be using my money from the frags to get a new MH bulb since i think this is leading to my GHA and cyano break out. Idk when the bulb was last changed. i also need a heater and test kits. so it will be a while before i get any new live stock for the tanks.

Ya maintenance cost can hit you when you least expect it, and they can be a pain. My wife got laid off so I'm hoping nothing goes wrong with my 55 anytime soon because I cant afford to replace anything right now.
