When my return pump turns on it drains the chamber it is in before the water has a chance to return back down from the tank.

I have dual stand pipes and a mag 7 as my return pump.

Could it be the return chamber in the sump is to small?

You could cut or lover the drain pipe, fill the sump a bit more or use a smaller return pump.

Sounds like your return pump is pumping faster than your overflow is rated for. Try adding a ball/gate valve to the out put side of the r.p.

Yep you can also do that. The trick is to match your drainage with the Return's GPH by employing the various methods listed above

And/or maybe you don't have enough water to make sure the system can keep running. Are you giving it a little time to be in full "run mode"?

sounds like you need to add more water first then if that doesnt help go the ball valve route

Look slike this thread has you covered. As for the water, turn off the system and let the sump fill. If the sump can handle more water top it off then kiock the system on. The water the sump drops to while running is then the set level you want to replace your evap to (so mark it or install a float). If your pump is sitll too much I'd install a ball valve and choke it back a tad until you are running well.

Adding more water did the trick. It needed to be almost full, when the pump is off it is over all bulk heads, but when the pump is on it is now balanced. Thanks for the help everyone.
