Just remember that if you are letting the tank sit without livestock after the cycle, you will have to add a bit of food so that the bacteria don't starve. It doesn't have to be much, just a pinch of fish food every week or two

i just did a water test for the ammonia. it do go down. its a (1) now instead of (2). and as for my 75 gallon, i put water in it yesterday and it started leaking, so i drained it and cut all the silicone out and resealed the whole tank.only took me like 2 freaking hours.:hothead:. but i let the silicone set for 24 hours and just filled it back up, sealed pretty good, as of now. i will check again later for leaks. im going to buy live sand and start with that. and maybe next week when i get paid ill buy the live rock for it. little every week(too damn expensive).ill post a pic in a little bit!

Let me just ask you this: Did you use a biological (bacteria) additive when cycling/starting your tank?
