hello everyone i was on this form about 1 year ago when i started my saltwater fish tank.
Just wanted to start off by saying this is my first big saltwater fish tank.:)

i had around 8 fish some soft coral. and then my area had big fluids and my power was out for 4 days, i tried everything to keep my first from you know... anyway only two of them have made it throw and i have not really been into my tank because i have lost so much.

I'm going to get back into it and buy more fish and a little of easy soft coral.
    But i have some questions.
What are the ideal water condition for a 72 saltwater fish tank, and i have one clown fish that made it, i was hoping i could buy one more of the kind of the clown fish and then buy two more of the black and white stripe clown fish. my question is will they get along?

Here are some pics, i need to know what everyone thinks, and should i clean the back wall?

That's a lot of aipstasia you got there. I would recommend on an elimination plan before it gets worse.

Your tank is not big enough for two different species of clown fish IMO.
What do you mean by water condition? ( im assuming just the standard water quality?)

i'm taking care of the aipstasia getting some peppermint shrimp.

and yes i'm just looking for standard water quality like nitrates

and when you say different species, meaning i could get three more clown fish as the same species as the one i have now, to try to make two pairs and that would work?

You would just end up with a school of them. One would be a female, one would be a male, and 2 of them would have no gender.

I'd be careful about Peppermint shrimp, as some of them might eat corals. I have one that hasn't been a problem. Sometimes you're lucky, and sometimes you're not ;)

    well,
    Ammonia 0
    nitrates 0
    nitrites 0
    phosphates 0
    Ph ~8.3
    Salinity 1.024-1.025.

To my understanding, it is best to just have one pair of clown fish in one particular fish tank to minimize aggression. However, I have seen 75G tanks with 4 clown fish before ( of the same species).

It is a dry heat, yeah right !
You have one fish left so I would nuke the rock work and scrub off the back wall, use only RO/DI water or else expect more of the same. Try some phosguard now to help with your algae problems.

You can get peppermint shrimp but they come with their own issues.

Dry the rock and recycle it in a bin outside of the tank.
Do not add any live stock until the rock has completely re-cycled.
Do not disturb the sand bed and if you do you will have to re-home the clown fish.

You can only add sexually immature clown fish in groupings other than a pair in that size of tank and expect long term success.

If it were me I would at this point not mess around and just expect to have to fully cycle the tank again.

Oh and welcome back BTW. :)
