SO I got a new picasso to pair up with my picasso that I already had. I introduced the new one in the tank and for about 30 minutes they where fine......But then it was like a wrestling match. They started biting and attacking each other.

SO I sperated the new one into a plastic container, and placed the container in the tank, so they can see each other just cant attack each other. Has anyone tried this method at all? I plan on keping it in the container about another day or two its been in there a day already.

I also noticed today my older one was dong the twicthing dance twice outside of the container where the other one is. But it keeps swimming up to the holes in the container.... Any kinda feedback would be nice

Yea Im refering to clowns sorry. Im not really sure how old they are im pretty sure thy are still juveniles because they are still getting their black in. The new one I added is just a littl bit bigger than the old one. They are about 1.75 in -2 in

they will fight until they establish dominance, then the dominant one will become female. if there both already female they may fight to death.

to ease the domance struggle you could keep one clown in a breeder trap so they can get used to each other, also rearranging rock will mess up the present clowns sense of territory and allow the new one to move in more easily.

when adding clowns you are supposed to add one that is smaller, not larger, especially if you are trying to pair them up. they all start out as males.
