    I feel your stress

    HI,
I too went alittle wild the first few months try this try that, I now take a more relaxed view of my system .
How big is your tank, does it have a DSB they can help stabilze things. how many pounds of live rock per gal, do you have a sump, skimmer,.
I tend to over kill with back up for systems.
I have a DSB in the sump it has two skimmers, I have a small reforguim in the sump, I have lot of those nassirus snails I think ever tank needs at least 20-30 snail that dig in the sand.
I love shrimp they are the garbage disposals of the reef, they clean the rock they clean the fish, they are great. I have several peppermints and 2 large skunks and one fire shrimp and a coral banded shrimp I even have a pistol shrimp in one corner of the DSB. He dosen't do much except dig alot of holes.
I believe that many of the worms in your DSB are good so I try and get a few bristtles at the local LPS to help in the bed.they will reproduce..
I have a LM bleemy, and tang that eats his weight in algae every day, and a nice coral beauty that also help with the alage cleaning.
Not to fond of the hermits or starfish hermits kill each and snails for shells.
Starfish will waste unless you tank is well established with amphipods.
I would get more snails alot more of the nassirus, I like gobies too, the watchman gobies are fun to watch them try a bluff everyone.
I try and add a little live sand from my LPS to keep the culture up.
Maybe more clean upcrew less fish till the tank settles.
    DOug
