So I havnt been on here in years. But I have still been reefing!
I need some suggestions as 3 of the 4 corners of my stand have split over the last year.
It is still level and stable but with 1000 lbs of pressure on it who knows when it could collapse. And my child is getting bigger and more reckless so its time to take action.
It would be nice if I didn't have to replace the stand but if its my only choice I will.
Was thinking of building a complete "frame" around the outside with 1x4s.
    Any suggestions??

It is a 90 gallon mixed reef with 30g sump.

That looks like it's just the trim...it adds no structual integrity to the stand. Unless the panels and internal frame are separated, you're fine.

I agree! It is structural as its splitting up 10 inches or so.
Any other suggestions for a fix?

OK...I was wondering it the black finish was the same color as a larger separation. That would worry me, altho I suppose you could add some additional framing to the inside of the stand to keep it from getting worse if you don't mind the cosmetics of the separation on the outside.

I think that's what I'm going to do. Inside and out just to be safe. Off to lowes!
