    Copper is an element so it won't dissipate but it can be absorbed and diluted. The question down the road is, how much is toxic to the particular invertebrate you want to put into your tank? I have read that even trace amounts leaching out of previously exposed silicone can be toxic to invertebrates. If this were me, I would drop the sg (1.010) until it killed them then start bringing it back up. I'l lbet that won't impact the cycle. The fish trick will leave some to reproduce.- Paul
