Need To Know What Happened

Can anyone tell me what happened to my yellow angel

i had him about 2 weeks

in the first pic was soon after i got him i saw the blackness developing by his eye

the 2nd pic is from yesterday morning when i found him dead, and the black spread all over his head and gotten darker

and the whole time i had him he was swimming fine and eating very well

 

I'd say it's looking close to Uronema marinum or lateral line

 

i agree with above Uronema marinum does look similar.

Did he have the discoloration in the fish store? maybe a stupid comment but maybe he was dropped on the floor at the LFS and hit his head (bruised?).

no idea. sorry to hear tho. he looked nice.

 

accually i got him as he arrived at the lfs, he was ordered just for me, i didnt notice it in the bag or for the first few days, then i started to notice it and progressivly getting darker and spreading throughout his head till he died the other day, the 2nd pic is of him dead right before i took him out the tank
