Need worm ID! (i think it's a worm??)

    Ok this thing started out as a curly tube (small) thaught it was a dead fan worm tube or something, and its been getting bigger over the months, ive i've been noticing a wierd slug type guy inside it, and it sometimes expells a stringing slime.
    Help me out!

    has it ever moved? the stringing slime, dose it pulls back in, OR it is let go in the water?

    They will not directly harm anything but their webbing can irritate corals, preventing polyp extension.

    Other than that they are good scavengers to have, even if their mess is a bit unsightly.

    I glue them shut. I don't like the web they shoot out while eating. The web they send out for food may irritate surrounding corals.
