What type of corals do you have? The only thing I've seen spawn like that in my tank is a fungia and turbo snails. But in my tank it wasn't something that made the whole tank milky and did not last long.. if I hadn't been there I would have never seen it.

    Hi Unclejed
tube worms? happened to me, and tank was really milky cloudy if you have any and they drop feathers thats a good indicator tube worms spawned

but even your corals could have spawned IMO
in nature they spawn at certain times of the year and its often early mornings whilst moonlight is the source of illumination - which your actinics would replicate to a degree

From what I understand if you have your moon lights set to simulate the moon phases corals are more likely to spawn.

You have a healthy tank, alk, cal, and mag is where they should be. I would bet that something did spawn in your tank. Do you have feather dusters in your tank?

No, I don't have any feather dusters. There is a small hard tube coming out of a rock that does grow, I know because I broke it off on purpose and it grew back (about 1") and when I clean or blow off the rock it produces spider web like strands out of it.
