Needing some input/advice

Hey fellow 3reefers

Just started cycling my 10 gallon nano. (My nightstand tank )

Here is what I'm running so far.
-Korila Hydor 1
-Emperor 280 HOB filter
-Coralife 24'' 10k and Blue Actinic

I was wondering about what you guys thought about only running the Korila? I think that this 280 is way overkill and it is rather loud right next to my bed.

Running only the K1 there is absolutely Zero noise.

Should I just try down sizing or find a quieter HOB filter?

 

I only see one powerhead in there? Just the Koralia

 

That should be sufficient at 400gph. See if you can find a new HOB.

 

Yeah the water is still really getting moved around with the K1. I think your right, I just need to go shopping for a quieter filter.

Or try and find a quiet protein skimmer...
