I have a wet/dry Ehiem Professional canister, great for bio-filtrations not so good for mechanical fil. I have added carbon pads and filter floss, but the water isnt crystal clear like i feel it should be, there is some particulate that still floating around in tank. any ideas or additional filters i can run next to it or something?

Ozone is said to be good for water clarity

Ozone is good for disolved organics that make the water yellow. For particulate, mechanical filtration is required. A skimmer would be a good investment.

you have not told us much about your tank ie.. age, filtration, stocking, husbandry, size, substrate, etc..If it is a new set up you might be having a bacteria bloom

Have you considered using Pur-flo filter media? They come in regular, 100 micron and I believe 200 micron. That thing spiffy's my water!

I believe that your tank is relatively new and there are a lot of these fine particles from the substrate moving around. Feel that is normal.

If it is old a bacterial bloom might occur. Just consider the snowstorm phenomenon also.

    Anyways keep posting

Could it be small air bubbles?

    +1 on the skimmer.

Hot Magnums or = with paper filters are also a quick fix for excessive particulate matter.

I agree with Jason, air bubbles will make your tank seem "foggy". When I first set-up my tank, I had crystal clear water in a day with the pure-flo filter. I suggest you get the 200 micron if your filter will permit, cuz it will really filter the hell out of the water.
