    Hey guys,

My green BTA is currently floating around the tank. It was underneath a ledge and I think it was trying to move onto the top of the ledge, but then got halfway and let go.......

Im worried that its going to A) float into the powerhead and die or B) float onto some of my other corals and kill them....

Can I tuck it under a shelf so that it cant float away? Not really sure what to do?

It is a dry heat, yeah right !
Make a depression on the sand out of rubble if you can. Make it in the lowest flow area on the tank or turn off a power head to facilitate a low flow area. You can use a small strawberry basket or similar device to hold it in place if necessary.

Place the anemone there and give it a couple hours to foot. If it does not foot that is a bad sign.

    Good luck

You do not want to trap it Ryan as it could get damaged

turn of the power heads for a short time
locate the nem where you would like it ( it may not stay there)

what power heads are you using? if they are Maxi jet types and you have the strainers fitted - wrap some foam or filter wool around them and hold with elastic bands ( temporary fix whilst Nem secures itself )

you might be able to similar with Korallia type models a layer of filter wood around them and banded should stop the nem being drawn in

OK I moved a few peices of rock around which has created a semi-circle rock form that the nem is now sitting in, as its against the flow, so it can only move against the flow, which will be when it attaches and starts to move. If that makes any sense. Basically like a nem barrier that when its floating will be pushed into, so when its moving it can come out easily.

I have hydor powerheads. They arent very strong but could still cause issues for the nem.

nylon stocking over the powerhead held in place with a rubber band works too.
