nem hosting ?

Noticed my male perc clown hosting my nem for the first time last night. The female has no interesting seems like an abvious answer, but she will host it too pretty soon right? Was just curious. Picked it up a little over 2 weeks ago. One other question it seems to shrivel up atleast once a day to the size of a quarter is this normal? Params are fine I've had to dose alk everday since I got it. It will drop from about 10 to 7 in a week if I don't dose. Could this be the problem? Not sure what type it is here is a pic. Thank you. My B/W female never resided in any Anemone I had. Changes in shape with fluid exchange is normal.

An Anemone should not be too sensitive to changes in ALK, changes in pH yes.

At this point with your tanks age I would not be concerned with an ALK of 7, and I would not try to maintain it at 10.

Lets just get this out of the way: The Anemone is the host, the clown only resides. Like when someone throws a party they are the host, everyone comes to their house.

Are you kidding. Most are often doubtful regarding who plays what part in the relationship.

The shape of your nem looks like a bubble tip but I've never seen one that color...very cool looking and congrats on its hosting your clown!
