    Well y'all talked me into it! This should be a pretty inexpensive project..all I need is LR and sand. Well, and the mantis of course. I'm just going to keep my HOB filter that is on there now. I'm amazed at the junk it pulls out. I doubt a single mantis will put out enough to need a skimmer..(right?).

    I shouldn't, because I just received a $200 coral/clam shipment, but chances are I will go get the stuff today haha. Classes don't start until monday, so why not set up a tank?

    mine was dirt cheap to start up. bought a 10 gal starter kit on boxing day , $30. stand for $40 and CC for $20. used water from my DT and LR from it. and away i went.
