I have a quick question, there seems to be a light neon coating of algae all over my live rock, its not hair or slime, it just looks like the rocks are turning neon green, anybody know what it could be?

I had some lime green color coraline algae grow in my tank before the purple started. I was told if you cant rub it off or pull it off then it is probably coraline. A pic would help tho.:)

Leave it alone, it's just a stage it will pass, must be a fairly new tank right? it will change to a brownish red color in a few weeks. Don't worry, its a good thing. If your running your lights you might want to back down on the amount of time just a bit.

yeah! it is pretty normal, try using a small brush and see if it comes off, if it don't then is coralline, is known to be bright green and also light in color

Then it sounds like a green coraline.
