I was thinking to get those for my tank. They are also $9.99 at my LFS. Why do they die in aquarium? Harrasment from other fishes?

I honestly don't know why they don't last in my tanks. They were feeding well and I never noticed them being harassed by my other fish so I'm clueless.

What I also find interesting is that you will see them in fish stores to clean there current for sale fish but always have signs that the neon's are not for sale. It could be just that they are that hard to get a good one and once you do people don't want to let them go.

My fish stores usually have a lot of neon gobies for sale so anytime I've wanted one, they were relatively easy to get.

I've had my neon in my tank for almost a year along with my cleaner shrimp, percs and 5 chromis with no problems. He try's to clean everybody but there not very receptive. Usually they turn around and chase him off, but he's persistant. He waits till I'm feeking and the other fish are distracted to have a go at them.
Bruce, hope its not a mantis.
Sorry about the neon's. They are an interesting fish to watch.

Ya they are cool...im hoping that since the cleaner shrimp was munching on the neon and not a mantis...its not a mantis? Do you think it would give up a meal to a cleaner?
