Picked up a neon goby yesterday that had ich. Other than that he seems okay. He's eating and moving around normally. I gave him a freshwater dip when I got him home. I used Ich Attack with a few drops of Pima/Melafix in the freshwater. I didn't leave him in very long, about 10 minutes max.
This morning he's still doing fine but he appears to have a nother few spots of ich. I caught him and put him in another freshwater dip. I only used freshwater this time. Should I just continue to do several short dips or keep him in this dip for as long as he can safely stand it ?

My battles, I have taken the fish out and put them in their own 5g tank and raised the temp to 80. after about 4 days - it's normally gone.

but that's what "I" have done in the past. I don't use chemicals

Temp doesn't have any effect on saltwater ich though ? It's not the same as freshwater ich from my understanding.

Saltwater ick is caused by a parasite known as Amyloodinium ocellatum. This parasite is very similar to its freshwater cousin. Symptoms are relatively the same as for freshwater. Such things as rapid breathing and the appearance of white spots on the exterior of the fish may be signs of this infection. Treatments for saltwater ich are much more numerous. It can be treated by the use of chemical sources such as cupric sulfate, malachite green, hydrogen peroxide, and quinacrine. In addition, freshwater baths have also been shown to cause removal of parasitic cysts.

I have always raised the temp to deal with the infection - specially after chemicals never worked for me.

I don't really do anything for ich. If you have a UV filter I don't think you should worry about it. It's not a cure, but it sure makes the attack lighter. Even if you don't, it usually clears up on its own in my experience.

Raising the temp speeds along the ich life cycle which is about 4 weeks.

I may be wrong, but I believe Amyloodinium Ocellatum is velvet, not ich. I believe ich is caused by Cryptocarion Irritans.

Okay I can hook up my UV Sterilizer if I need to. He's been in his bath for about 20 minutes now and still isn't showing any signs of stress so I think I'll leave him in there as long as possible. I ended up putting a few drops of Melafix in with him to fight infection as the cysts fall off. I turned up the tank temp from 78 to 80 also.

Yeah, Amyloodinium Ocellatum is velvet not ich.
