    Hi Guys,

I first want to apologize for the absolutely horrible pictures. I saw this thing this morning and haven't been able to get a good look at it. It is on a rock facing the back of my tank. I can get a peak from the sides and a hole in the front. What caught my eye was the extremely bright color. It is a very bright neon green and looks to be a tube of some sort. I do have a few hitchhiker dusters in my tank but haven't seen this one yet. It looks to be about 3/8" long and looks as if it has ridges or rings on it. i don't see anything protruding from it yet. Has anyone seen anything this color before? I looked for neon tube worms but couldn't find any. Thanks in advance!!!

    Regards,
    Ivy

I have seen these many times. They are a type of calcerous macro algae. Not invasive at all and really IMO look pretty cool.

Yeah, I know they aren't the best. The only way to get a better picture is to tear down the rocks and turn it around to the front. The views I have are through a hole and the reflection from the back.

Do you happen to know where there is a better picture of what you are thinking of? My eyes can see it better than my camera can and I bet I could compare pictures. Thanks!!!!!

    Neomeris sp. (probably Neomeris annulata)

    Daniel named it. It's harmless.
