Shipping out this week are Neptune System's highly anticipated Wireless Expansion Module. The WXM is an AquaBus based module that will allow you to independently control multiple VorTech pumps via your computer or even your iPhone or iPad. Beyond changing pump outputs, the WXM will even give you diagnostic information regarding your pump's status in real-time. Also worth noting is the upgradeable firmware so that your module continues to evolve over time. 3reef got a live demonstration of the WXM this weekend and it was really impressive. Suggested retail price for the WXM module is $124.95.

I've been reading up on this. Doesn't sound like it gives the pumps any added features, but it does give the Apex the ability to run the full range of vortech features. It can run all pumps wirelessly and give the user a true one button feed mode for those with Vortechs.

the feedback/diagnostics is nice, but can it override the built-in "profiles"?

i.e. say I want my MP40W to run at 15% power in Lagoon mode, but every 6 hours go to 80% constant power 20 times for 10 seconds per pulse, then back to lagoon mode?

if I can program custom wave profiles this will be awesome.

And will it support the "full off" mode of the ES controls I just bought?

Yes, you can switch modes, set exact percentages of flow, etc. depending on time of day. All ES features are supported. Whatever ES can't do you, you can make your own profile / program to control your pumps.
